Focus on Malta
Well, as the title says it's all about Malta this month! I went there a few weeks back and have been sorting out the videos ever since. The wrecks I dived were the Rozi tug boat, P29 minesweeper patrol boat and the Um El Faroud (which was my favourite) and though they are all in similar depths and conditions they do make a pleasant set of dives. As most people know the Maltese tourism board/government has been very proactive in the sinking of wrecks to provide a playground for divers, and they have done this in a very accessible way (unlike other countries where they've dropped wrecks in dirty estuaries near Great White hunting grounds) by having them as shore dives, and if you're feeling adventurous you can even just hire your tanks and trot off to find them yourself which makes for a very cheap holiday. Sadly on my trip I went in the only week that it rained so the vis dropped from 30 meters to 15, still very dive-able but it did prove a bit restrictive for wide angle shots of wrecks surrounded by the azure blue of the Med which I was hoping for. To combat this I did a bit more shooting inside the wrecks with my lights where the water always seems a bit clearer. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the vid's and see you next time....
